hainlink is a blockchain platform that aims to build a bridge between the world of blockchain / cryptocurrencies and conventional payment service providers such as Visa, Wells Fargo and HSBC.

Development of the platform began in 2015. In 2017, there was an initial coin offering (ICO) in which the LINK ERC-20 token could be purchased. The price for the LINK token was $ 0.11 (0.00038 ETH). This led to a capitalization of $ 32 million.

Chainlink enables the connection of various blockchains, such as Ethereum and Bitcoin through oracles with real applications, databases and various interfaces (APIs) of legacy systems.

Chain processing includes intelligent contracts with parameters that are defined in the SLA (Service Level Agreement). Oracle data is aggregated, verified to prevent manipulation, and rewarded with LINK tokens for doing so.

LINK tokens in circulation are 350,000,000 with a total delivery of 1,000,000,000 LINK. In June and July 2019, the token caused a sensation because it experienced a huge price increase, including due to various announcements of new partnerships, especially with Google.
